Entertainment on The Disney Dream - Take A Trip To The Theatre Every Evening of You

Article Source: Disney Cruise Line – http://routebyroad.com

One of the things that the Disney Cruise Line prides itself on is the opportunity to offer live theatre to its guests. Each cruise ship provides a different show each night which is based on the different characters from the Disney movies and theatre shows.

On the Disney Dream guests have the opportunity to watch talented performers who come from all around the world, as they sing, dance and act, providing lots of laughter joy and entertainment.

The theatre is set over two floors and is found at the front of the ship. It is called the Walt Disney Theatre after the great man who created Mickey Mouse and the rest of the Disney family. In order to accommodate everyone there are two performances each night.

All of the shows are for all the family to enjoy together so you do not have to worry about the possibility of bad language or inappropriate behaviour. Here is a little more information about the shows on offer.

The Golden Mickeys

This is a very popular show on the Disney Dream cruise. It is an award show where different characters are presented with an award for the different categories. This is a great opportunity to meet some of the Disney characters for the first time.

Villains

This is a show that highlights all the baddies that have appeared in the Disney films. It is a great time to remind ourselves that however bad these characters are, good will always prevails. There is a lot of fun to be had during this performance. The central character for this show is Hades, who is still very unhappy about being defeated by Hercules.

Disney Believe

The premise of this sweet little story centres on a young girl who is upset because her father is too busy with his work to help her to celebrate her birthday. She enjoys magic and make believe, which her very serious father has no time for. However, with the help of the Genie from Aladdin, he gets to find out that magic really does exist if you jus believe. During this show there are wonderful appearances from Mary Poppins, as she flies through the sky, Tinkerbell, Rafiki from The Lion King’ as well as the beautiful princesses Cinderella, Snow White and Tiana from The Princess and the Frog.

These are the fabulous collection of professional productions that you will find when you board the Disney Dream Cruise Line. Each one is filled with your favourite Disney characters and will definitely have you singing a Disney tune as you leave the theatre each evening.

Are You Planning a Trip to Dubai

TOP TRAVEL DESTINATIONS – http://routebyroad.com

Dubai is the second largest of the emirates comprising the United Arab Emirates. It was established in the late 1950s to serve a tiny coastal settlement. Today, Dubai is a modern metropolis with a population of over 700,000. It offers its citizens the finest in modern comforts. It is known internationally as a premier tourist destination.

Dubai has something for everyone, from vacationers seeking a relaxing break away from the pressures of work, to active tourists looking for a new, exciting experience. The emirate is an international conference, exhibition, and leisure travel destination.

Dubai has a seemingly endless variety of unique vacation opportunities! Some of the highlights are desert safaris, dune driving; exploring wadis (dry river beds) in four-wheel-drive vehicles; sand-skiing; moonlit Arabian desert barbecues, complete with traditional entertainment; camel racing, horse racing and falconry; cruises in wooden dhow on Dubai Creek or into the Gulf; exploration of the old city souks (markets) and creekside dhow quays. Photographic possibilities include traditional architecture; majestic mosques,

magnificent palaces, camel and goat herds, ancient windtowers, dusty Bedouin villages, lush oases and palm groves, and dramatic sunsets.

The best time of the year to visit Dubai is between November and April, when the weather is coolest. Ramadan, which takes place at a different time each year on the western calendar, is the Muslim month of fasting and is strictly adhered to throughout the UAE. That means that it’s illegal, not to mention rude, to eat, drink or smoke in public from sunrise to sunset during your stay While Dubai’s official language is Arabic, many people speak English, particularly those who are in business or commerce.

Dubai is an incredible place to shop. You can explore everything from modern shopping malls to traditional souks to markets. As a result of Dubai’s low custom duties, goods purchased in Dubai may be less expensive than goods purchased in other countries. For great shopping experiences, try to visit Bur Juman Centre and Al Ghurair Centre.

Packing for a Trip Through Ibiza

TOP TRAVEL DESTINATIONS – http://routebyroad.com

When you hear of Ibiza, what images pop up in your mind? Ancient trading? Beaches? Parties? Rain? Ibiza, like Menorca, is one of Spain’s Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea and it sits to the left of the Mallorca Island. Also known as “Eivissa,” this island is rich in Phoenician history. Remember the Phoenicians who dominated trade in the first millennium BC?

Well it’s on this island that these same Phoenicians ran their lead, wine, and marble trade in 654 BCE. At that time, the island was known as ‘Ibossim’, and then later called ‘Ebusus’ by the early Romans. Later, the island was known for producing salt, wool, die, and fish sauce. By forming a treating with Romans, Ibiza was spared destruction and later became one of Roman’s official cities.

As you can guess, this historical tidbit makes Ibiza a fascinating place to visit and it’s current night-life seemingly attracts tourists from all over the world. International tourists visit this island to check out its most lively clubs: The Privilege, the Es Paradis, Te Amnesia, the Space, and the Pacha. All of these clubs are known for their active parties – some opening as early as eight in the morning! (Note that most shops and banks here are closed between the hours of two and four p.m. – known as the ‘siesta’.)

But that’s not all – Ibiza is the mother of ‘trance music’ – a style of music that is euphoric and melodic and that fuses the sounds of string instruments, mandolins, and soft vocals. You may have even heard some of this hypnotizing sound by artists like Solar Stone, Paul Oakenfold, Chicane, or DJ Tiesto. Lisa Lashes is a widely recognized artist within this genre too.

Traveling to this island, you’ll want to remember that you’ll be surrounded by some of the most beautiful beach spots in the world. And that’ll demand very light clothing – especially in the summer. At the most, you’ll want to bring along a light sweater for trips up into the mountain areas or at night along the island’s coasts. Either way, you’ll definitely want to dress to impress if you want to blend within the cultural trend that exists here.

Not only is this corner of the world known for it’s rich history and its high entertainment, it’s also known for its high fashion. Bright colors and prints are in!

Since you’ll spend the majority of your time here walking and enjoying the sights, pack the most comfortable pair of walking shoes that you own. Fancy dance shoes might be fine for evening fun, but most of the locals and other tourists you’ll see will stride in sandal-type footwear. Some of the streets on this island are still cobbled so if you tour the sights in anything that isn’t a flat-sole support, you might have a little trouble getting around – especially in shoes with a high heel.

But if you’re ready to hit the beaches, soaking up the sun on one of Ibiza’s many beaches unquestionably demands ultraviolet ray protection. So don’t forget the sunscreen, sunshades, or hat! If you travel during the winter months (November through February), bring your rain gear. We’re not talking about a full raincoat and boots set up – something simple like an umbrella will suffice!

Other things that you might find handy aren’t items that you’ll wear, but instead, items that you’ll use. For example, you might want to bring a camera along so that you can photograph the marvelous sights you’ll see including those party events that no one will believe happened unless you’ve captured them on film! When packing your camera, you’ll of course want to make sure that you bring along plenty of film, batteries, and repair parts in case these items are not available on the island.

Be careful though that when you do take photographs, you don’t violate any local laws or politically sensitive areas. Ask first – especially when you tour the religious sites of this land. Some belief systems don’t allow photographs and although the reasoning may not make sense to you, they make sense to the locals and you should respect the wishes of whatever rules are set in place.

In addition to a camera, you might appreciate bringing along a language translation book or an electronic language translator, as the native tongue spoken in Ibiza is Spanish. Speaking the same language as what your local hosts speak will help you in other activities available here like shopping, touring, or just speaking to a friendly passer-by. You could learn to say, “Que pasa?” for example, which means ‘what’s going on?’ or ‘what’s happening?’

You really want to bring along anything and everything that will enable you to enjoy your time here because as previously mentioned, Ibiza is a place to have fun, relax, and vacation as though you’ve never vacationed before.

Travel in Ibiza by Taxi

Traveling by taxi provides an extremely convenient way to move about. Like traveling by taxi in the United States, minimum charges accompany metered mileage plus a small additional fee for baggage and evening – night – or holiday drives.

Ibiza Driving Advice

European Union citizens (18 years or older) must own a national driving license to drive in Ibiza, however non-European Union citizens (18 years or older) also need an International Driving Permit as well. Both types of citizens must have car insurance and identification (license, passport, etc.) by law, is required at all times. Seat belts must be worn by all passengers, and travelers under the age of 14 must be seated in the back seat of the vehicle. When driving, remember that driving positions are reversed to American drivers. You must yield to on-coming traffic from junctures and traffic circles.

Special care should be taken to restrict your driving to the main routes outlined on the most recent maps of this area as other routes may not be appropriate for driving (dirt roads, mountain passes, etc.).

Traveling in Ibiza by Car / Car Rental

Because Ibiza’s city centers are so popular, you are cautioned to avoid driving in these areas – especially since the narrow roads in these places can accommodate traffic traveling in one direction only. In addition, parked automobiles make driving extremely difficult. Traveling by car rental is best accomplished by following a current map of its roads – which offer views that are nothing short of amazing.

A Trip Back in Time to the Roots of Farming

TOP TRAVEL DESTINATIONS – http://routebyroad.com

Those who want to explore this country’s roots may want to visit a group of destinations that showcase the role of agriculture-yesterday, today and tomorrow.

In 1836, JohnDeere, a blacksmith from Vermont, set up shop in the small Rock River town of Grand Detour, Ill. Convinced the sticky Midwestern soil required a special kind of plow, he forged one in 1837. His “self-polishing” plow grew in popularity and, as it did, so did the company that bears his name.

Today, visitors to the JohnDeere Historic Site can watch a blacksmith at work in a replica of the blacksmith’s shop where Deere fashioned his historic plow. The site also features the home JohnDeere built, a gift shop and an archaeological exhibit that shows the site of JohnDeere’s original blacksmith shop.

The JohnDeere Pavilion located in Moline, Ill. is considered one of the top five tourist attractions in the state and has welcomed guests from all 50 states and dozens of countries. It offers vintage and modern-day equipment and interactive exhibits devoted to the development of the company and agriculture around the world.

One exhibit answers a child’s question about where food comes from, while a 40-inch touch-screen display offers visitors a vision of the future of agriculture and the challenges of feeding the global population of tomorrow. A feature film called “Anthem: A Song of the Land” salutes the dedicated work of farm families worldwide.

The adjacent John Deere Store is a one-of-a-kind retail shop offering hundreds of unique, officially licensed John Deere products.

Also in Moline, the John Deere Collectors Center is the primary resource for enthusiasts and collectors interested in the history and heritage of the company and the collection of John Deere tractors, equipment and memorabilia.

It includes a living history exhibit that replicates a 1950s era dealership, complete with a customer service department to answer questions about parts and manuals for vintage equipment. The Center also hosts auctions and seminars and has an active tractor restoration area.

Recently, these destinations instituted a facility rental program, opening up the attractions to those looking for a unique location to hold a special event, such as a reception or company meeting.

The company also offers event planners and local caterers who work with groups to plan parties. Other sites to visit include the Deere family homes and Deere & Company’s World Headquarters.

Road Trip!

When we travel for business, we choose the quickest and most time-efficient way to get from where we are to where we need to be. Getting there is not half the fun as a matter of fact, it really isn’t any fun at all, and it isn’t supposed to be. Ah, but travel for pleasure is an entirely different matter. We want to get from where we are to where we want to be, but we want to have as much fun as possible both going there and coming home! Road trip!

Still, the idea of a family road trip can strike fear into the hearts of the bravest of souls. The truth is that a road trip CAN turn into a road nightmare unless adequate planning goes into the trip. If you are having visions of a car interior that bears a remarkable resemblance to the interior of a garbage can, whiny and impatient children, and a grouchy spouse, take heart. Just some simple planning can take a lot of the stress out of a road trip.

Step 1: Plan the trip and allow plenty of stops along the way. Don’t try to cover too many miles in a day. You are all stuck together in a very small space, and nerves can get frayed easily.

Step 2: After all the luggage is packed, add a good supply of kitchen-size trash bags. A group of people can generate a lot of trash. The interior doesn’t have to look like the interior of a garbage can, and you’ll find trash cans to dump the garbage bags at service stations and convenience stores.

Step 3: Plan for and purchase snacks. Go easy on the chocolate. Chocolate is loaded with caffeine and can make children fidgety and nervous. Keep liquids to a minimum. Every body needs to stay hydrated, of course, but drinking means potty breaks.

Step 4: Pack a good supply of premoistened wipes. These can be used to clean hands before meals and will come in really handy if there is an upset tummy.
